Leonard is a software engineer with Sitec Consulting, Inc in Hanover, MD, a career he has been passionate about since attending the Art Institute of Washington DC. Leonard also shares his experience of growing up at the Boys and Girls Club. From homework and robotics to basketball and college-funding, the Boys and Girls Club did more than just “keep him out of trouble”; it shaped a bright future in the technology industry.

>> It's challenging because I'm doing more of the hard coding now. So I'm getting into a logic part. So that's where I'm trying to build my skill set up at. A lot of programming back in using [inaudible] and JavaScript, JQuery. Different languages to build application. So the learning curve. Because every day you're being thrown with new technologies, or the client might want this or the client might want that. So you want to, you got to be able to be fast on your toes and pick things up quick. So that's challenging, but it's rewarding because you're learning something, and it's a skill set you can put on your resume. So it's the same as using Dreamweaver, which is out of a box, and it's a suite [inaudible] Adobe, Dreamweaver, but then, like, say the client wants to use Symphony, which is a framework, which couples everything into one thing. So you've been thrown for a loop. You got to learn all this new stuff, but it all works hand in hand. You take your time, go home, and do stuff at home, you can reinforce your skills when you get back to work. So.
