The Career Development Center has a headshot photo booth and small stock of professional clothing from Tommie Closet. Stop in to get your headshot taken in just a few quick minutes and browse through business attire donated by the UST community.

Headshot Photo Booth Directions

  1. Visit the Career Development Center in Murray-Herrick Campus Center (MHC) 123. The booth is open anytime the office is open.
  2. Check in for the photo booth at the front desk.
  3. Pose for your headshots.
  4. Edit your photos.
  5. Receive your professional quality photos direct to your email.
  6. Share your photo on your Handshake, LinkedIn or St. Thomas Connect profile!

Career Closet Directions

  1. Visit the Career Development Center in Murray-Herrick Campus Center (MHC 123) to access the Tommie Closet satellite, dedicated to professional attire, open anytime the office is open.
  2. Feel free to browse the Closet. If you’d like to try something on, just let the front desk know. Restrooms are located just around the corner.
  3. Once you’ve selected your outfit or clothing items, simply check out at the front desk.

Headshot Photo Booth

A headshot photo is often your first impression when featured on your social media profile or website. A headshot allows you to portray the version of yourself to prospective employers and can help you gain visibility in the job search process.

The most important part of a headshot is to be yourself! Consider your career goals when deciding how you want to dress for your headshot appointment. Think about what you might wear to a job interview or presentation. Keep it simple with solid colors. This is a headshot, so pants and shoes are generally not visible in the photo. You can also borrow a jacket from the Career Closet for your photo session. Jackets are gender and size inclusive.

Headshots are free to the St. Thomas community (Students, Alumni, Faculty & Staff).

Each session includes 3 shots, but there is no limit to the amount of times that you can use the photo booth during the semester or year.

Each session provides the opportunity to do some limited retouching. You can also edit your headshot(s) from your account after completing the session. Editing options include teeth whitening, blemish removal, skin softening, filters, etc. You will also have the option to retake one of your photos during the session if you would like.

The Photo Booth is a self-service, first-come, first-served concept. There is no need to make an appointment for current members of the St. Thomas community. You can stop by the Career Development Center during office hours and use the booth at any time.

Career Closet

All current students are welcome to use the Closet, regardless of major or class year.

You may take up to one full professional outfit per visit, which can include a shirt, pants or skirt, jacket, shoes, and/or accessories.

No, the items are yours to keep. All clothing is donated for students to use and build their professional wardrobe.

Our staff is happy to help! Just ask at the front desk, and someone can assist you in choosing pieces that suit your needs and style.

Yes, you may try on clothing. Please inform the front desk if you’d like to do so—restrooms are located nearby for changing.

We document your visit as a drop-in and will ask for your student ID or email to begin the process. Staff will also tally the clothing items you take to help the Office of Sustainability Initiatives team track the impact of donations on the UST community.

The photo booth is a first come first served self-service concept, but staff are always available to offer assistance as needed.  If a student needs an accommodation for their headshots, they can contact career@stthomas.edu to schedule an individualized session.  

Clothing Closet Policy

Tommie Closet offers gently worn professional clothing donated by alumni, faculty, staff, and families. Individuals may take one full outfit per visit, which may include items such as a shirt, pants, jacket, belt, shoes, or a similar combination.

Clothing is rotated every few months based on donations. We display items that align with general workplace norms and are in good condition, with an emphasis on pieces appropriate for interviews and professional settings.
