In 22-23, our VLs are going to be focused primarily on our Shelter Crew Program with a few opportunities related to our youth-based volunteer program Tutor Mentor. One of the biggest barriers to volunteer engagement for first-year students is related to transportation and not wanting to volunteer alone. We would like our VLs in Shelter Crew to commit to driving a group 1-4 additional students twice a month. We cover all transportation costs, mileage reimbursement, use of a university vehicle, or rideshare.
