St. Thomas Activities and Recreation

As a student programming board at the University of St. Thomas, STAR is committed to providing opportunities for students to interact and develop relationships with other students outside of their time in the classroom. STAR is allocated a portion of the student activity fee and uses that money to provide a variety of engaging events for students including live music, movies, bingo, DIY crafts, STAR Excursions (off-campus trips throughout the Twin Cities) and more.

STAR also provides engagement opportunities for each class cohort as you navigate various stages of life as a college student.

For our first-year students, STAR hosts events focused on the transition to college and to help you gain a better understanding of all of the opportunities on campus. For our second-year students, STAR hosts events that are focused on expanding your connections on campus, preparation for internships, and more. And for our Upper-Division students, STAR hosts events that are focused on preparation for life off-campus and after graduation, including some fun adulting events.

As a programming board on campus, we are committed to planning and executing events where everyone feels they are welcome and safe. We are devoted to creating an engaging and inclusive environment for all students to develop relationships with others
