The University of St. Thomas is proud to have many first-generation students choose to attend our institution, with nearly 25% of our students identifying as first-generation. The First-Gen Tommies program is designed to support our first-generation students throughout their transition to college and beyond, from enrollment to graduation.
At St. Thomas, we define a first-generation (first-gen) student as one who has neither parent graduated from college within the United States.
