OWLS pursues the following goals:
- Community Building and Peer Support: Regular meetings and informal gatherings to foster connection among non-traditional students.
- Professional Development: Programming focused on second-career transitions, networking, and mentorship.
- Family-Inclusive and Accessibility-Focused Programming: Occasional family-friendly events and coordination of information regarding existing child-care and family-support resources near or affiliated with campus
- Constructive Institutional Communication: Serving as a feedback channel to identify structural or scheduling barriers affecting non-traditional students, in collaboration with administration.
