Wraparound Experts (WE) is a comprehensive resource for children and families in schools across Northeast Ohio, offering a range of specialized services and educational staffing solutions. We place the following Special Education and Mental Health professionals at elementary and secondary schools: Intervention Specialist, Remedial Teacher, Gifted or Enrichment Teacher, Title 1 Teacher, School Psychologist, Mental Health Counselor, Speech Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist/COTA, Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Registered Behavior Technician.

Job Summary
Wraparound Experts is currently seeking a qualified Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our growing team. The COTA will provide support and therapeutic services to students with diverse needs within the general education classroom as prescribed by the CEO of Wraparound Experts and the principal of the school. This role is essential in helping our students achieve their maximum potential in academic, social, and daily living activities. COTAs are responsible for planning, organizing, and developing activity programs in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
Essential components of this position are listed below; however, these are not exhaustive and subject to change at the discretion of Wraparound Experts.
Qualifications
- Applicants must have an Associate’s Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Must hold and maintain current certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Must hold and maintain current (Ohio) state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant, required.
- Holding, maintaining Ohio Department of Education license, preferred
- Pass and maintain clear BCI and FBI background checks, required.
- Valid driver’s license, required.
- Experience with Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Evaluation Team Report (ETRs), preferred
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills including cultural sensitivity & competence
- Ability to preserve the confidentiality of student information and records
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret assessment results and use the results to help the OT develop treatment/intervention plans and classroom strategies that are appropriate to the educational goals of the student (and within the student’s least restrictive environment)
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with the Occupational Therapist, teachers, and staff members.
- Document student progress accurately and maintain up-to-date records.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input as needed regarding therapy goals and progress.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and therapy sessions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of therapy activities and programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations related to occupational therapy services in a school setting.
