About Us

Watch Us Weave is a vibrant vocational training program for adults with intellectual disabilities, focused on textile arts and crafts. Located in the heart of Zionsville, we create beautiful handwoven and sewn products while providing meaningful employment opportunities.

Position Overview

We’re seeking a passionate and patient Shop Manager to lead our weaving and sewing workshop on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 9-2. If you love fiber arts and have a heart for working with adults with intellectual disabilities, this could be your dream job! No specific textile experience? No problem! We can train the right person on our equipment.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead with Compassion: Guide and mentor our team of adults with intellectual disabilities
  • Create Beautiful Things: Oversee the production of handcrafted textile products
  • Build Skills: Train employees on weaving looms, sewing machines, and other equipment
  • Ensure Quality: Maintain high standards for all products leaving our shop
  • Welcome Visitors: Provide excellent customer service to shop visitors and clients
  • Manage Operations: Handle inventory, supplies, equipment maintenance, and workflow

What You’ll Need

  • Genuine passion for working with adults with intellectual disabilities
  • Interest in fiber arts, crafting, sewing, or textile work (specific expertise not required)
  • Patient, positive teaching style and leadership abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic organizational and inventory management abilities
  • Problem-solving mindset and adaptability
  • Customer service orientation
