Seeking an agricultural assistant to join our small, tight knit team. You will be assisting in all aspects of the winemaking process. An eye for detail and drive for a clean, organized winery environment are a must! You will work closely with ownership and winemaking staff to ensure the highest quality fruit production while maintaining the health and sustainability of the vineyard.
This is a full time position beginning April. Hourly pay depending on experience.
Description, Duties, Responsibilities:
Ideal candidate must be able to perform the following to high industry standard, including but not limited to:
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Assist in planting and harvesting fruit
Processing fruit, press operation, punchdowns, pump-overs, brix and temps, additions,
Racking, barrel prep and maintenance, barrel downs, topping, filtration
Assist with Sanitation of tanks, harvest equipment, hoses, fittings, etc.
Assist with bottling and operations
Qualifications:
Valid Driver’s license or passport and legal US work status
Basic chemistry knowledge
Basic math knowledge
Communicate effectively in English
Ability to follow written and verbal Standard Operating Procedures
Must work well with others
Commitment to working full time plus occasional overtime
Highly organized with attention to detail
Ability to multitask and work safely in fast paced environment
Work Environment Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 lbs, pull 100 lbs for 20’, stand for long periods, bend, kneel, and work in all weather conditions (summer temps 90+°F, winter temps 30-°F).
May work with chemicals that require PPE
