Probation: One month
Summary
The Licensed Sales Producer plays a pivotal role in driving revenue and building client
relationships by selling insurance policies tailored to individual client needs. This role demands a proactive, results-oriented professional who excels in delivering exceptional customer service and achieving sales targets. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, knowledgeable about insurance products, and adept at cultivating long-term client trust.
Responsibilities
The Licensed Sales Producer will be responsible for:
● Prospecting new clients through targeted marketing, referrals, and networking initiatives.
● Conducting comprehensive needs assessments to recommend appropriate insurance
solutions.
● Meeting and exceeding sales targets, including personal and team goals, set by
management.
● Educating clients about available policy options, coverage details, and payment plans.
● Maintaining detailed and accurate records of client interactions and policy information in
the company’s CRM system.
● Staying informed about industry trends, policy updates, and competitor offerings to
provide expert advice to clients.
● Creating, adding, and/or processing policy endorsements as needed.
● Participating in training sessions and continuous education to uphold licensing
requirements and enhance product knowledge.
Essential Duties
● Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients, ensuring consistent outreach
and follow-ups.
● Develop tailored insurance proposals and negotiate terms to close sales effectively.
● Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, company policies, and ethical sales
practices.
● Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing questions, claims, or
coverage changes in a timely and professional manner.
● Foster long-term client relationships by providing ongoing policy reviews and identifying
upselling opportunities.
● Create, add, and/or process policy endorsements as part of delivering a seamless client
experience.
Non-Essential Duties
● Support marketing campaigns by providing insights into client demographics and
preferences.
● Participate in community outreach programs to promote the company’s brand and
services.
● Assist junior sales team members in understanding company systems and processes.
● Collaborate with other departments to resolve client issues and improve operational
efficiency.
Supervisory Responsibilities
● While this role does not include direct supervision, the Licensed Sales Producer is
expected to set an example of professional conduct and excellence in sales practices,
offering mentorship and guidance to junior team members when needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
● Education and Experience
○ A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor’s degree in business,
marketing, or a related field is preferred.
○ A valid insurance license is required, with a preference for experience in property,
casualty, and/or life insurance sales.
○ At least 2 years of experience in a sales or client-facing role, with proven results
in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
● Technical and Computer Skills
○ Proficiency in CRM systems and sales tracking software.
○ Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
○ Experience using online quoting tools and insurance management systems is a
plus.
● Language Skills
○ Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
○ Proficiency in Mandarin or Spanish is highly preferred to serve a diverse client
base.
