Civil Engineering Project Manager
SPN & Associates is a long-established and growing civil engineering and surveying firm serving the state of South Dakota for over 60 years. Our company provides complete Civil Engineering and Land Surveying services for municipal, state and federal governmental agencies as well as private individuals, developers and corporations.
We are currently seeking a Licensed, Full-Time Professional Project Engineer.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in Civil Engineering and Project Management
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of South Dakota or able to obtain licensure within six months
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Office and other relevant engineering software
- Knowledge of DOT and/or typical municipal standards
- Attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively and coordinate with peers, clients and regulators
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Be willing to relocate to Mitchell, South Dakota
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Manage Civil Engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring they stay on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards
- Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to define project goals and obtain necessary approvals
- Perform site visits, surveys, and assessments to collect data and guide design decisions
- Develop and review engineering drawings, plans, specifications, and technical reports
- Track project progress, address potential challenges, and apply proactive risk management strategies
- Ability to effectively provide guidance and mentorship to Engineers-in-Training
