THE ROLE
As a Concession Stand Runner at The Oncenter, you will be responsible for delivering products to all concession stands in a timely manner.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Transfer product to concession stands/carts while complying with inventory procedures.
- Setup product in stands, rotate stock and inventory, and prepare for future events.
- Help receive, unload, and store deliveries.
- Stock, clean, and organize the Commissary, Stands, and Surge areas.
- Assist in pre-event setup through various duties and assist in post event breakdown.
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and stocked work area following sanitation standards.
- Maintain a professional appearance, and professional relationship with coworkers at all times.
- Provide total guest satisfaction through skilled and capable service in accordance with New York State laws and regulations as well as Company policies, practices, and procedures.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Six months’ experience in a food & beverage or warehouse environment preferred.
SKILLS YOU’LL NEED
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Exceptional hospitality and customer service skills, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
- Desire to work as a team.
- Ability to make professional, independent, and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- ServSafe & TIPS certification a plus.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must have the physical ability to maneuver around the venue, at times walking and/or standing for 8-10 hours or greater, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs+, and frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and squatting.
- Ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment.
