We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused host/hostess to join our team at Kobe House. As a host, you will be the first point of contact for guests, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of seating. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet guests warmly upon arrival, ensuring they feel welcome and valued.
Manage the seating chart, ensuring that guests are seated in a timely manner based on availability and special requests.
Handle reservations and walk-in guests, efficiently managing the waitlist and informing guests of estimated wait times.
Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries regarding reservations, menu items, or restaurant hours.
Escort guests to their tables, offering menus, and ensuring they are comfortable.
Monitor guest flow to ensure the dining area is organized and tables are being turned over efficiently.
Communicate guest needs or requests to the appropriate servers or management team.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station, dining area, and entrance.
Assist with other tasks as needed, such as setting up for special events or helping with table arrangements.
Provide a positive and upbeat experience for guests, ensuring they have a great start to their dining experience.
Help with opening and closing duties, such as ensuring the lobby is tidy and setting up for the day’s service.
