Position: Part-Time Seasonal Bartender
Reports To: Restaurant Manager
Overview:
We are looking for an energetic, customer-oriented Part-Time Seasonal Bartender to join our team at a busy bar and restaurant within a popular campground resort in Cornell, Wisconsin. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, fun environment and has a passion for providing exceptional service to guests. As a bartender, you will be responsible for mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks, while maintaining a clean and inviting bar atmosphere. This seasonal role is ideal for someone who enjoys working during the peak tourist season and engaging with guests in a lively setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Bartending and Drink Preparation:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beers, wine, and other drinks, following standard recipes.
- Handle drink orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and quality in each drink served.
- Stay up-to-date on the drink menu and be able to recommend drinks or create specialty cocktails for guests.
- Ensure all drinks are made with the appropriate garnishes and served according to restaurant standards.

Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions about the menu, and making drink recommendations.
- Handle guest requests, concerns, or complaints in a professional and timely manner to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Maintain a friendly, welcoming demeanor and create a fun, social environment for guests.

Bar Maintenance and Cleanliness:
- Keep the bar area clean, organized, and stocked with all necessary supplies, including liquor, garnishes, glassware, and napkins.
- Clean and sanitize bar tools, glasses, and surfaces regularly, adhering to health standards.
- Restock inventory and supplies as needed, ensuring that the bar is fully stocked for busy shifts.

Cash Handling and POS Operation:
- Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Process payments efficiently, making sure to give correct change and provide receipts.
- Maintain an accurate and balanced cash drawer during and at the end of the shift.

Compliance with Alcohol Laws and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal alcohol laws, including checking IDs and refusing service to intoxicated guests.
- Monitor alcohol consumption and intervene as necessary to maintain a safe and respectful environment.

Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the restaurant and bar team to ensure smooth service and communication between front-of-house and kitchen staff.
- Help maintain a positive, team-oriented atmosphere within the bar and restaurant.

Other Duties as Assigned:
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up the bar and securing equipment at the end of the night.
- Help with cleaning tasks around the restaurant or bar area as necessary.
Requirements:

Experience:
- Previous bartending experience is preferred, but not required.
- Experience in a busy, fast-paced bar or restaurant environment is a plus.

Skills:
- Outgoing, friendly, and energetic personality with a passion for hospitality.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure, especially during busy times.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good memory and attention to detail when preparing drinks and handling orders.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation:
