Dates: vary by position. Most positions begin in early May and run through mid-October.
Compensation: $1,529.95 Biweekly

The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) manages one of the largest and most diverse state parks systems in the nation and protects and enhances natural resources and outdoor recreational opportunities throughout Massachusetts.
DCR is seeking qualified applicants for the positions of Seasonal Park Interpreter (PI) at Borderland State Park, Nickerson State Park, and Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve.
Park Interpreters perform various interpretive, educational, and administrative task. They may staff an information desk/kiosk, provide visitor information and orientation, and present a variety of interpretive programs that reflect the natural, cultural and historical themes of the park.
Qualifications: Applicants must have at least:
(A) one year of full-time, or equivalent part-time experience in interpreting, recreation programming or environmental education in a public or private agency, or
(B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
Substitutions:
I. An Associate’s or higher degree with a major in recreation or park management, park interpretation, recreation programming or environmental education may be substituted for the required experience.
