Business Operations & Executive Support Intern
Want a student job that puts you closer to how a business actually runs?
We’re looking for a motivated college student to work directly with a small-business owner on business operations, organization, communications, projects, and executive support.
This is a part-time hybrid internship, approximately 10 to 15 hours per week, with flexibility around your class schedule.
This is not a traditional desk internship. You may spend one day helping organize priorities and projects, another preparing for a meeting or event, and occasionally travel with the team to a conference, summit, or weekend business event.
If you’re interested in business, entrepreneurship, leadership, operations, or learning how decisions actually get made, this could be a great opportunity.
What You’ll Do
Your responsibilities will vary, but may include:
- Helping organize priorities, projects, and follow-up items
- Preparing for meetings, events, and business activities
- Managing calendars, reminders, and scheduling
- Helping coordinate business travel and logistics
- Taking notes and tracking action items
- Researching vendors, events, products, or business opportunities
- Preparing documents, presentations, spreadsheets, and other materials
- Helping communicate with team members and external contacts
- Assisting with special projects across different parts of the business
- Using AI and productivity tools to make work faster and more organized
- Helping make sure important details don’t get lost
You won’t just watch someone else work. The goal is for you to gradually take ownership of real responsibilities.
Who Would Be Great at This?
This could be especially valuable for students studying:
- Business
- Management
- Entrepreneurship
- Marketing
- Communications
- Hospitality or Event Management
- Supply Chain or Operations
- A related field
Your major matters less than your attitude.
You should be:
- Extremely dependable
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable communicating with different types of people
- Able to handle confidential information professionally
- Comfortable learning new technology
- Willing to ask questions when something isn’t clear
- Able to work independently once expectations are established
- Interested in learning how businesses actually operate
- Comfortable with a role where every day may look a little different
Business Travel
You must be comfortable with occasional business travel, including some weekend trips.
Travel could include conferences, summits, workshops, or other business events.
When traveling for work, you may help with:
- Travel logistics
- Event schedules
- Meeting preparation
- Notes and follow-up
- Keeping the trip organized
- Handling the little things that allow everyone else to stay focused
If the idea of attending a business summit for a weekend sounds interesting rather than inconvenient, you may really enjoy this role.
Schedule
- Approximately 10 to 15 hours per week
- Flexible around your class schedule
- Hybrid mix of remote and in-person work
- Occasional evenings or weekends associated with events or travel
- Occasional overnight business travel
What You’ll Gain
This internship provides exposure to areas students often don’t see until much later in their careers:
- Executive decision-making
- Business operations
- Entrepreneurship
- Project management
- Professional communication
- Event and travel coordination
- AI and productivity tools
- Leadership
- Real-world problem solving
You’ll work closely with the business owner, which means you’ll get a much closer look at how priorities are set, problems are solved, and ideas turn into action than you would in many traditional internships.
A complimentary CrossFit membership is also included while you’re part of the team.
One Last Thing
Attention to detail is a big part of this job.
Before applying, text: “I packed my charger – Business Ops!” to 269-388-2792.

If you understand why remembering the charger matters, we’re already off to a good start.
Why This Internship Is Different
This is a good fit for someone who wants more than a line on a resume.
You’ll have an opportunity to work closely with an entrepreneur, see several parts of a business, attend real business events, solve actual problems, and gradually take on more responsibility as you earn trust.
If you want a flexible internship where you can learn fast, be useful, see how business works from the inside, and occasionally go somewhere interesting while doing it, we’d love to hear from you.
