Considering a career in public policy? Join the Career Development Center on a local career trek! On October 4th, 2024, the CDC will bring students to visit employers and hear from professionals working in the field of public policy. This event is a great opportunity to hear what a day in the life looks like, receive advice from those in the field, and get any questions answered!

Schedule includes a visit to the Capitol, lunch with experienced professionals, and a tour of the Humphrey School of Public Affairs.

Alison Piumbroeck Groebner- Director of Government and Community Relations

Alison joined the Council in 2018. She was most recently the Director of Government Affairs at the Minnesota Department of Commerce. Prior to her five years at the Commerce Department, she worked in the Minnesota State Senate. Alison is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas, where as an undergraduate she was the recipient of the Spirit of St. Thomas Award for Outstanding Leadership as well as the Global Citizen Award.
